After watching from the sidelines for close to two decades we can no longer be passive as we watch newly elected leaders take on the challenge of improving the public educational system of Florida.
There are problems with education here in Florida. The Human Development Project has Florida listed 33rd of the 50 states. The National Center for Educational Statistics lists Florida below the national average in math and science. We have a need for change! The question is … are we making the right choices?
Global Civis is an organization established to help teachers in opening the walls of the classroom to the world outside. Global Civis is working with teachers across the state to petition our state government with ideas for improving education.
