There’s something strange about the spring. It’s a season of new beginnings, both in the physical and metaphorical sense, and something about that fact touches people. It stirs them to do things; like clean and propose. Weird…
Seriously though, it is a really wonderful time in the year. There’s so many joyous occasions that tend to happen between March and June that provide some wonderful reminders. I like to think of it like a door that gets opened, through which people can momentarily catch a glimpse of what heaven looks like before it quickly closes. The other day, at an engagement party of all things, I got to catch a glimpse through that door and got a great reminder in the process.
First, let me tell you about these two people. To put it simply; these two were made for one another. There’s no clearer way to say it. You look at both of them, side by side, and there’s just something in them; in their faces, in their eyes, in their smiles, in their energy; that shouts, louder than you could ever ignore, “we were made for each other.” I’ve never seen anything like it. They’re two people that perfectly compliment one another.
And it doesn’t just stop with them. If you get to meet their families, they too compliment one another. Interacting with them, you begin to see how my friends got to be such decent people. Their families are the warmest, kindest, most welcoming folks you could ever hope to meet. The moment you walk into their homes, it’s like you become family. They treat you with an unrivaled hospitality that makes them immediately endearing. I mean, the list truly goes on and on.
